Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kev Kev Randleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BIG GARLIN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). BIG GARLIN has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kev Kev Randleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BIG GARLIN!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

GARLIN tries to keep at a distance but Randleman has taken the fight into the clinch.
GARLIN is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Randleman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
GARLIN goes for a takedown attempt but Randleman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Randleman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

GARLIN shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Randleman's guard.
Randleman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
GARLIN is looking to work some ground and pound but Randleman has wrist control.
GARLIN stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Randleman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
GARLIN advances position into side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.

GARLIN wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Randleman, who protects the arm well.

GARLIN working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
GARLIN tries to score with some ground and pound. Randleman controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Randleman struggling a bit here.
GARLIN working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Randleman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Randleman tries to get out of the position.
GARLIN tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
GARLIN wants to stand but Randleman is controlling his arm.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

GARLIN tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Randleman is looking to reverse the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
GARLIN misses with a wild combination.
GARLIN looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kev Kev Randleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BIG GARLIN.
Randleman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
GARLIN takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
BIG GARLIN seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
GARLIN looks gassed!
Randleman tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
GARLIN tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Randleman counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Randleman.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kev Kev Randleman dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Randleman throws a low kick, looking for GARLIN's leg but GARLIN calmly moves out of range.
Randleman stuffs the takedown.
GARLIN doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Randleman counters by clinching up.
GARLIN is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Randleman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Kev Kev Randleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BIG GARLIN.
Randleman misses with some punches.
GARLIN tries to pull guard but Randleman holds him up against the cage and eventually GARLIN drops back down to his feet.
Randleman lands an elbow inside.


It looks like BIG GARLIN has been cut.
Randleman is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
GARLIN wants to break the clinch but can't.
Randleman comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Randleman lands a nice elbow.
Randleman lands an elbow inside.


That has opened up BIG GARLIN's cut even more.
Randleman pushes GARLIN back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
GARLIN is breathing heavily.

GARLIN takes an elbow to the temple.


The cut above BIG GARLIN's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Randleman lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
GARLIN managing to block the knees to the body from Randleman.
GARLIN tries to break the clinch but Randleman is controlling the position.
Randleman lands a hook that snaps the head of GARLIN backwards.


BIG GARLIN's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Randleman looking to throw knees to the head but GARLIN is blocking nicely.
Randleman lands an elbow inside that GARLIN shrugs off.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at BIG GARLIN's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kev Kev Randleman!
