Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Shota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taneli Hauki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shota's entrance music is Black Panther Theme by Stephen James Taylor . A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adrian Shota!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Taneli Hauki!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shota connects with a body shot that sends Hauki's belly button to the back.
Hauki throws a half hearted mid kick.
Shota connects with a nice looking jab.
Hauki misses with an uppercut.
Hauki misses the jab.
Shota connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hauki lands a lovely overhand right.
Shota connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Shota tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hauki was well out of range. Poor timing from Shota.
Shota lands a leg kick that knocks Hauki off balance momentarily.
Hauki connects with an inside leg kick.
Hauki has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hauki takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shota digs a good body shot into Hauki's ribs.
Hauki takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Hauki takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
An inside leg kick from Shota misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shota connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hauki. Hauki circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hauki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shota manages to avoid it.
Shota tries to land a leg kick but Hauki saw it coming and moves away.
Shota throws a hook but Hauki blocks it.
Shota throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Shota throws a leg kick but Hauki sees it coming and moves out of range.
Shota will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Hauki throws out a loose jab but Shota uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shota misses with a straight left.
Hauki wants to counter the offense by Shota and move into the clinch position.
Shota lands with a good body shot.
Shota wants to land a leg kick but Hauki is out of range.
Shota checks a low kick from Hauki.
Shota appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
A jab lands there for Hauki.
Shota thuds a left hand into Hauki's body.
Shota bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Shota has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Coffee Shop in the buildup to the fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shota tries to land a leg kick but Hauki saw it coming and moves away.
Hauki now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hauki takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shota works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Shota blocks a head kick by Hauki.
A telegraphed right hand from Shota misses the target.
Hauki looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Hauki is rocked!
Shota fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Hauki square on the jaw! Damn, Hauki is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Adrian Shota!
A determined Adrian Shota didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
