Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arek Szlesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drakus Sin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drakus Sin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Arek Szlesz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arek Szlesz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drakus Sin! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Szlesz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Szlesz looking for submissions off his back. Szlesz tries to get to full guard but Sin has control of the leg. Sin seems to be working for a kimura but Szlesz defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sin sitting and controlling from the half guard. Sin decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Sin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Sin fails to move to back control. Szlesz is just holding on here. Sin manages to take his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Szlesz controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Sin patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Szlesz rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Very smooth. Szlesz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sin on the ground. Szlesz can't do much from the bottom here. Sin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Szlesz has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sin but great work by Szlesz. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sin is trying to get back to half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Szlesz wants to stand but Sin is controlling his arm. Szlesz decides to take the fight back to the feet. Szlesz looking for a takedown here - he's got it. This has been an exciting period of action! Szlesz trying to control but Sin is working from the bottom. Szlesz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Szlesz is looking to stand up but Sin won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sin working for a triangle but Szlesz defends it easily.

Szlesz with a nice head shot there. Sin controls Szlesz momentarily but Szlesz frees himself. Szlesz stopping the sweep attempt from Sin. Sin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Szlesz is looking to work some ground and pound but Sin has wrist control. Sin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Szlesz passes into half guard.

He's hooked one of Szlesz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Szlesz's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Drakus Sin will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Szlesz doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sin counters by moving into the clinch. Szlesz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Szlesz's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Drakus Sin has got the better of the ground game so far. Szlesz has given up his back here.
