PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Carmicheal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leo Carmicheal!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rich gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Carmicheal works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Carmicheal drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rich dives on top into guard.

Rich distracts Carmicheal with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Carmicheal has his foot on Rich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rich works his way back into a safe position though.

Rich stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Rich closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Carmicheal to the mat! Carmicheal manages to get full guard.

Carmicheal pushes Rich off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Carmicheal scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Rich bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Leo Carmicheal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carmicheal drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Rich tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carmicheal's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Carmicheal is looking to work some ground and pound but Rich has wrist control.

Carmicheal drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Carmicheal as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Rich screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Carmicheal! Nice submission victory there!
