Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noah Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Laston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Noah Stevenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Laston! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laston circles away from the clinch attempt and Laston counters with a two punch combo. Stevenson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Laston counters with a lovely straight right hand! Stevenson scores with a kick to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stevenson. Laston does a little dance to reset his feet. Laston doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Laston connects with a jab. Stevenson closes the distance looking to clinch enabling Laston to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laston showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stevenson.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Laston! But no joy. Stevenson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Laston counters with a nice uppercut. Jab from Laston. Noah Stevenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevenson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Stevenson prevents Laston from standing back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Laston can do anything to dispel that myth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stevenson is keen to just control but Laston is a slippery customer. Laston is looking to escape. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Laston is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Stevenson throws a poor cross that misses
and Laston counters with a series of strikes. Stevenson will be more careful next time no doubt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stevenson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Laston counters with a straight right hand. Nice shot by Laston. Stevenson misses with a hook. Laston ducked under it nicely. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Laston! But no joy. Laston is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laston connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Laston lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Laston digs a good body shot into Stevenson's ribs. Stevenson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Laston.
Stevenson avoids the body shot from Laston.
Laston ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Stevenson closes the distance but Laston moves to the side and Laston counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Stevenson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Laston lands with an uppercut that bounces Stevenson off the cage and back into range.
Stevenson is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stevenson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Laston was well out of range. Poor timing from Stevenson. Oh Stevenson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Laston ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Stevenson seems to have got his legs back now. Stevenson is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Laston scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stevenson doesn't seem bothered though. Stevenson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Laston connects with a body shot. Laston cracks Stevenson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Laston has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Stevenson to stand back up! Stevenson misses with a leg kick and Laston counters with a crisp right that sends Stevenson to the canvas! Laston follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Laston!
