Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Krause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krause is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Heart of a Champion. James Krause has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luiz Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, James Krause! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krause throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diaz was covering up waiting for the punch and Krause finishes the takedown easily into guard. Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Krause defends well. Krause pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diaz is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Krause wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Krause is pushing down on Diaz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Diaz is fighting to maintain full guard but Krause has managed to sneak the leg through. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krause wants to work for an arm triangle but Diaz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Diaz is not content to let Krause control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krause is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Diaz has managed to free his arm - good work. Krause is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Diaz is in trouble now - Krause has advanced to mount! Krause with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Krause is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Krause extends the arm and Diaz is forced to tap!
