Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Crede (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davis Heron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis Heron will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Crede!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Davis Heron!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crede drives through with a takedown into guard.
Crede wants to pass the guard but Heron is keeping the position.

Heron throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Heron controls Crede momentarily but Crede frees himself.
Crede prevents Heron from getting back to his feet.

Heron looking for a guillotine here but Crede defends easily.
Crede stopping the sweep attempt from Heron.
Heron being controlled here, momentarily.

Crede might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Crede chips away with some ground and pound.
Crede is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Heron is looking for a triangle but Crede pushes his legs off easily.
Heron not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Crede sitting in guard here, content to control.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Crede in particular looking to stall.
Heron is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Crede wants to free his trapped foot but Heron is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Crede content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Heron is looking to improve his position.

Heron slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee asks Crede politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Crede prefers to stall for the moment though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Heron is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Heron wants to improve his position but Crede is controlling well.
Crede lands with a punch from half guard.
Still in half guard, Crede seems content to control.
Heron is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Crede scores with a couple of nice shots.

Crede wants to advance to full mount but Heron doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Davis Heron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heron with a poor takedown

and Crede decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Heron's guard.

Crede drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crede jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Crede has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Heron is looking for a triangle here but Crede uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Crede wants to lay and pray for a moment but Heron keeps working.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Crede throws a low kick, looking for Heron's leg but Heron calmly moves out of range.
Heron thuds his right hand into Crede's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Heron closes the distance but Crede moves to the side

so Crede counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Ross Crede overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Heron controls Crede momentarily but Crede frees himself.
Crede loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Crede throwing strikes but missing.
Crede trying to control the position from guard on top but Heron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Crede seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Heron is looking for a triangle but Crede pushes his legs off easily.
Crede postures up.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Crede here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Heron keeping moving, preventing Crede from controlling successfully.
Heron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Heron throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Heron has his foot on Crede's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Crede works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Heron can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crede controls the pace.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ross Crede just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Heron regains half guard.
Heron is not content to let Crede control the position.
Crede missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Heron makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Heron.
Heron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Heron tries to close the distance and clinch up but Crede swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Crede shoots in for a takedown but Heron shows good takedown defense.

Heron takes the fight into the clinch.

Heron breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ross Crede is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Heron shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Crede counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Heron!
Heron is in all sorts of trouble here.
Crede landing punches.
Heron keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Crede breaks from Heron's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Heron is in a horrible position here. Crede smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Heron tries to hold on but Crede postures up.

Crede working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Heron is trying desperately to improve position.
Heron is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Crede scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Heron?

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Crede sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Heron wants to control but Crede is having none of it.
Crede controlling from mount.
Crede trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Heron is desperately trying to improve his position but Crede has a good base and remains in mount.
Crede lands a heavy elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Crede with the ground and pound from mount.
Crede prevents Heron from getting the reversal.
Crede punishing his opponent with strikes.
Crede content just to control the position here.
Crede landing shots from mount.
Heron is in all sorts of trouble here.
Crede postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Heron looks a forlorn figure.
A nice elbow there by Crede.
Heron tries to hold on but Crede pushes him away.

Crede scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Crede looking to control and managing it successfully.
Davis Heron has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Heron sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Heron wants to improve his position but Crede is controlling well.
Ross Crede is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Crede takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Heron moves into full guard.
Crede wants to control from the top but Heron keeps moving.
Heron striking off his back.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ross Crede showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crede, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
