Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Levi Dowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jack mehof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mehof thuds a left hand into Dowe's body.
mehof throws a head kick but Dowe moves out of range.
mehof looks for a takedown but Dowe sprawls well.

mehof closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
mehof shoots in looking for a takedown. Dowe tries to sprawl out of it but mehof keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dowe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dowe moves into the clinch successfully.

Dowe has his foot on mehof's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. mehof works his way back into a safe position though.

mehof lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

mehof thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Dowe to regain full guard.
mehof is looking to stand up but Dowe won't let him.
mehof looking to sit in guard and control but Dowe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dowe gets to his feet - mehof follows without any prompting.
Dowe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around mehof's waist but mehof gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dowe off to one side.

Levi Dowe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dowe has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing mehof to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Dowe is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - mehof pulls down on the head and he's put Dowe to sleep! This one is all over!
