Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shaw Maxwell!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Maxwell does no damage.
Maxwell misses with a wild combination.

Hamer slips a jab and a cross from Maxwell.
Hamer feints and as Maxwell raises his hands in defense, Hamer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Maxwell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hamer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hamer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hamer stands up from Maxwell's guard - Hamer perhaps looking for a knockout.
Hamer moves into the clinch successfully.
Hamer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hamer misses the shot to the body.
Hamer dodges the punch combination from Maxwell.
Hamer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Maxwell as he jumps to the side.
Hamer bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maxwell takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Maxwell is trying to get back to half guard.
Maxwell looks gassed!
Hamer wants to control but Maxwell is keeping him busy.
Maxwell prevents Hamer from improving position.
Hamer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Maxwell has escaped the position, nice work there.
Maxwell is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Maxwell throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hamer blocks a low kick nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Horrible takedown by Hamer or perhaps it was just good defense by Maxwell which made him look bad.
Maxwell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hamer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hamer has closed the distance and engaged Maxwell in a clinch.
Maxwell wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hamer is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Maxwell can't fight it off and eventually Hamer manages to take the fight to the floor. Maxwell looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hamer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hamer wants to control from the top but Maxwell keeps moving.
Maxwell is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hamer is controlling him.
Maxwell wants to sweep here but Hamer controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hamer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Maxwell cracks Hamer with a big right hand and Hamer goes down!
Hamer is rocked!
It looks like Tjerk Hamer has been cut.
Maxwell gets to his feet - Hamer follows without any prompting.
And that's the end of the fight!
Tjerk Hamer showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Hamer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
