Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Mercury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladde Hais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercury comes to the cage accompanied by Turbonegro - Do You Do You Dig Destruction?. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Mercury! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladde Hais! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hais tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hais is looking to clinch but Mercury is avoiding it.
Hais tries for a takedown but Mercury sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mercury checks a low kick from Hais. Hais throws a leg kick but Mercury sees it coming and checks it nicely. Hais throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mercury swats away the attempt to clinch by Hais. Hais fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mercury fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hais misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mercury keeps the fight on the outside. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hais. Hais shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hais lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hais with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hais drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mercury working a defensive guard here.
Hais must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hais won't allow Mercury to sweep him here. Hais trying to control the position from guard on top but Mercury is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mercury wants to sweep here but Hais controlling him for the moment. Mercury is trying to control the position but Hais postures up. Hais has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mercury is proving hard to escape from.

 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mercury. Hais tries to land a front kick but Mercury steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Mercury misses with a series of wild punches.
Mercury throws the kick towards the body but Hais avoids it. Mercury throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mercury is breathing heavily. Mercury throws a nice head kick!
Hais throws a quick inside leg kick. Mercury stuffs the takedown. Mark Mercury has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladde Hais. Hais is looking to clinch.
Hais clinches up with Mercury and pushes him back against the cage. Hais wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mercury has him pressed against the cage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hais keeps control of Mercury as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Come on Mercury - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hais tries to stall but Mercury uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Mercury is pressed up against the cage. Hais has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mercury down to the mat. Mercury avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Mercury instigates a clinch. Mercury works on Hais's body with a couple of short punches. Mercury working aggressively here.
Mercury softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Hais lands a hook to the side of the head. Mercury is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Mercury cracks Hais with a nice body shot. Mercury misses with a knee strike.

Hais is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Hais on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hais changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mercury fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Hais wants to break free but Mercury has control.

A good leg kick by Hais. Hais throws a leg kick that misses. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladde Hais dominated that round. That's time! Mercury's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hais moves in looking to clinch but Mercury pushes him off. Hais avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Mercury throws a leg kick that is checked
and Hais counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hais. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hais throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mercury looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hais is one step ahead there.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hais wants to stand but Mercury has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hais trying to control but Mercury is working from the bottom. Mercury wants to sweep here but Hais controlling him for the moment. Hais wants to control from the top but Mercury keeps moving.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hais drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mercury pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mark Mercury is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mercury chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hais can pounce on him.
Hais moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Hais misses with a takedown attempt - Mercury sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mercury is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A solid leg kick lands there for Hais.
Hais attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Mercury shoots in but Hais avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mercury jabs Hais right on the nose. Hais blinks but takes it well. Hais fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mark Mercury has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladde Hais. An inside leg kick lands from Hais.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Mercury. A low kick from Hais misses
and Mercury counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hais's guard now. Mercury trying to control but Hais is working from the bottom. Mercury is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mercury wants to control from the top but Hais keeps moving. Mercury landing some decent shots from guard.
Mercury stands up from Hais's guard - Mercury perhaps looking for a knockout. No joy there for Mercury, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hais darts in trying to clinch and Mercury counters with a head kick.

Hais is rocked! Mercury throws a nice outside leg kick. Hais is still on wobbly legs! Can Mercury finish him? A low kick from Hais is predictable there and Mercury makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Hais seems to have recovered his senses. This has been an exciting period of action! The fight stays on the outside here - Mercury looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hais lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hais throws a quick inside leg kick. Mercury jabs Hais right on the nose. Hais blinks but takes it well. Vladde Hais seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hais misses with a series of wild punches.

and Mercury counters by clinching up. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Mercury will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hais closes the distance but Mercury moves to the side and Mercury counters with a thumping low kick. Mercury wants to clinch up but Hais keeps it at a distance. Hais wants to clinch and Mercury counters with a big head kick but Hais shrugs it off. Hais scores with a leg kick.

and Hais counters by moving into the clinch.
Mercury escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Mercury moves into the clinch. Mercury using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hais has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Mercury lands a nice shot to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A nice glancing elbow lands by Mercury.

Mark Mercury has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladde Hais. Mercury lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Mercury throws an elbow but it misses.

Hais working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mercury. Mercury trying to control but Hais is working from the bottom. Mercury missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Mercury preventing the sweep. Mercury is looking to work some ground and pound but Hais has wrist control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hais looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mercury is one step ahead there.
Mercury is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hais moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Mercury looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mercury is pressing down on Hais's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hais is holding on for now.
Hais pushes Mercury off and gets back to his feet. Hais fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hais tries to clinch but Mercury moves away and Mercury counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercury fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hais has managed to clinch.

The is referee keeping an eye on Hais - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Mercury with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Vladde Hais has been cut. Mercury is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Hais escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
