The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strung tries a head kick but it misses.
Strung throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Shelton Weber has been cut.
Strung lands with a slapping head kick.
Strung misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Weber takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jay Strung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strung throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A head kick lands from Strung that sends Weber to the canvas. Weber tries to scramble back to his feet but Strung brings him back down into side control.
Weber is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Strung scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Weber is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Strung can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
