The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripgut goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Takeshi avoids the body shot from Ripgut.
Takeshi throws a shot from downtown. Ripgut moves away and avoids it.
Ripgut throws a series of punches but Takeshi avoids them all with ease.
Ripgut throws a half hearted mid kick.

Ripgut cracks Takeshi with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Takeshi get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Takeshi looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

It looks like Ichi Takeshi has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Takeshi throws a shot to the body.
Ripgut lands a jab to Takeshi's midsection.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Ripgut knocks Takeshi out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

After winning the bout, Shane Ripgut thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
