Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Larry Lerper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Larry Lerper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Terry Tyler!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler swinging wilding here.
Lerper lands a jab to Tyler's midsection.
Tyler throws a right and a left that Lerper avoids nicely.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lerper!
Tyler throws a looping overhand right but Lerper ducks down to avoid it.

It looks like Larry Lerper has been cut.
Terry Tyler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lerper has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tyler wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Tyler can't break the clinch.
Lerper has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tyler is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lerper tries to pull guard but Tyler holds him up against the cage and eventually Lerper drops back down to his feet.

Lerper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lerper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lerper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lerper moves out of range as Tyler strikes.
Lerper circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tyler falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lerper counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and Lerper decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tyler's guard.

Lerper wants to get up but he can't break Tyler's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Lerper chips away with some ground and pound.

Lerper stands up from guard. Let's bang!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lerper is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tyler will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Lerper is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tyler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tyler is trying to escape the position but Lerper is controlling the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lerper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tyler was well out of range. Poor timing from Lerper.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lerper controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Tyler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lerper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lerper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

You can see the frustration on Tyler's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Tyler is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lerper lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Lerper clinches up against the cage.
Lerper jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tyler walks away with a smile on his face. Lerper gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lerper moves into range and clinches up with Tyler.
Tyler tries to break the clinch but Lerper is controlling the position.

Lerper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lerper closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lerper lands in his opponent's guard.

Terry Tyler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lerper slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lerper is working Tyler over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Lerper gets to his feet. Tyler looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Lerper shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lerper was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well Lerper has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
