Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Bison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bison comes to the cage accompanied by Adelita's Way - Invincible. Chris Gunner has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Bison's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Bison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Gunner!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bison tries to close the distance and clinch but Gunner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gunner closes the distance looking to clinch

and Bison counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gunner trying to keep a closed guard but Bison is proving a slippery customer.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gunner is on top in guard.

Gunner stands up from Bison's guard - Gunner perhaps looking for a knockout.
Bison shoots in for a takedown but Gunner shows good takedown defense.
Bison darts in trying to clinch

and Gunner moves into the clinch.
Gunner tries to pull guard but Bison won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gunner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bison smiles and moves away.

and Bison decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gunner's guard.
Mike Bison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Gunner.

Bison is looking to stand up but Gunner won't let him.
Gunner is pulling down on Bison's head to control his posture.
Gunner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bison manages to get himself to full guard.

Gunner stands up from Bison's guard - Gunner perhaps looking for a knockout.
Gunner throws a sloppy head kick and Bison moves out of range easily.
Gunner tries a head kick but it misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Gunner pulls guard.
Gunner wants to stand up but Bison is controlling him.
Bison has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gunner looks gassed!

Bison decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gunner, up you get!

Bison drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bison postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Gunner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bison is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gunner is looking for a triangle but Bison pushes his legs off easily.
Bison sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bison's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gunner not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bison seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bison knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gunner on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bison has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gunner is proving hard to escape from.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bison's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Gunner counters with a thumping low kick.

and Bison counters with a single leg into guard. Gunner didn't expect that.

Bison would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Gunner is trying to control the position but Bison postures up.
Bison tries to free his leg and advance position but Gunner is retaining full guard.
Gunner looking for a sweep. Not yet Gunner, not yet.
Bison is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bison wants to pass the guard but Gunner is keeping the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bison closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gunner is looking for a sweep.

Bison decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Bison counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bison tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gunner swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Nice takedown defense from Gunner. No joy for Bison on that attempt.

and Bison counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gunner!
Gunner wants to control but Bison is having none of it.
Bison lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gunner tries to hold on but Bison postures up.
Bison is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gunner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Gunner really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bison sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Gunner tries to hold on but Bison postures up.
Gunner is in all sorts of trouble here.
Gunner wants to control but Bison is having none of it.
Bison controlling the pace for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bison has control of Gunner's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gunner regains control of the situation pretty easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bison's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Gunner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Bison feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gunner is trying to keep Bison in close.
Bison has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gunner is proving hard to escape from.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gunner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Gunner counters with a left to the body.

Bison keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Bison stands up and beckons Gunner to join him on the feet.

and Bison counters with a thumping low kick.

and Gunner counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bison is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Gunner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bison bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gunner's guard.

Gunner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Gunner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gunner not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Gunner is trying to work for a kimura but Bison is defending well.

Chris Gunner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mike Bison is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Gunner lands with a punch from half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Bison showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bison, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
