Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andres Vicson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fire closes the distance and clinches.
Fire tries a knee to the head but Vicson blocks it.
Fire misses with a short punch on the inside.

Vicson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fire pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Fire missing with knees to the body.
Fire gets underhooks to prevent Vicson's takedown attempt.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Vicson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Fire working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Fire lands an elbow that stopped Vicson in his tracks for a moment.


It looks like Andres Vicson has been cut.
Fire lands a shoulder strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vicson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Fire creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Vicson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fire regains guard immediately.
Fire wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Vicson manages to pass to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fire knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vicson on the ground.
Vicson wants to pass the guard but Fire is defending well.

Fire manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Vicson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Fire pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Vicson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Vicson avoids a wild elbow strike from Fire.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Fire is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Franky Fire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andres Vicson.
Fire throws a knee to the head but misses.

Fire is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vicson is defending well for now.

Vicson tries for a takedown but Fire manages to get underhooks.

Vicson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fire avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Vicson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fire is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Vicson to the mat. Vicson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Fire is sitting in close to Vicson's body. Vicson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Fire is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Fire is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Vicson.
