Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lester Manning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan De La Tour (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De La Tour has chosen Evolution:Enter the New World as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lester Manning!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tristan De La Tour!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Manning misses

and De La Tour counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Manning wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and De La Tour manages to pass to side control.

De La Tour winds up and cracks Manning with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

De La Tour stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
De La Tour fails with a takedown attempt.
De La Tour slaps away a takedown attempt from Manning, before circling back to the center of the mat.
De La Tour is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Manning throws a left and a right that both miss
and De La Tour counters with a one-two to the body.

Manning rushes De La Tour and presses him up against the cage.
De La Tour is trying to break free.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
De La Tour wants to get back to striking at distance but Manning won't allow it.
The referee is keeping an eye on De La Tour - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Manning misses with the head strike.
De La Tour has Manning pressed against the cage.
De La Tour tries to break the clinch but Manning is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
De La Tour is looking to break free of the clinch but Manning has double underhooks.
De La Tour throws a knee to the head but misses.
Manning avoiding damage as De La Tour throws knees to the body.
De La Tour can't break the clinch.
De La Tour manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
De La Tour stops a takedown attempt from Manning.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
De La Tour is trying to push Manning away but Manning has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
De La Tour looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
De La Tour is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Manning tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. De La Tour smiles and moves away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
De La Tour keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
De La Tour shoots for a takedown but Manning saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manning is trying hard to land a takedown here. De La Tour sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
De La Tour throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Manning's waist but Manning gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing De La Tour off to one side.
De La Tour looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Manning feints and as De La Tour raises his hands in defense, Manning changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

De La Tour is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

De La Tour stalls.

Manning jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as De La Tour walks away with a smile on his face. Manning gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lester Manning. That's going to take a lot out of him.
De La Tour throws a sloppy head kick
and Manning counters with a left and a right that stings De La Tour.
De La Tour has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Manning shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says De La Tour as he avoids it easily.
De La Tour is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Manning with a body shot.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

De La Tour throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Manning was covering up waiting for the punch and De La Tour finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Manning is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and De La Tour dives into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De La Tour decides to stand back up.

De La Tour shoots in for a double leg but Manning sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

De La Tour shoots in for a takedown but Manning shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Manning tries for a takedown but De La Tour sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
De La Tour is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

and De La Tour counters with a straight right hand.
De La Tour is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

De La Tour shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Manning manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Manning is wriggling around but De La Tour manages to pass to half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
De La Tour content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tristan De La Tour showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



De La Tour shoots in and gets a takedown into Manning's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manning is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
De La Tour slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

De La Tour is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

You can see the frustration on Manning's face as De La Tour controls the position.

De La Tour tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no De La Tour has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
De La Tour in side control, just content to control the action for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

De La Tour decides to stand back up. De La Tour steps back and let's Manning get back to his feet.

De La Tour slaps away a takedown attempt from Manning, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Manning fails with a takedown attempt.
De La Tour appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

De La Tour closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Manning did well to prevent De La Tour getting side control.
Manning is trying to escape back to his feet but De La Tour uses the scramble to pass into side control.

De La Tour goes for a double leg but Manning avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Manning continues to drive forward.

De La Tour content to slow the pace in the clinch.
De La Tour wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Manning has him pressed against the cage.
Manning wants a takedown but no success here.
De La Tour struggles to land a body shot inside as Manning controls his hands.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Tristan De La Tour comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well De La Tour has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
