The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faulkner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Faulkner wants it to stay on the feet.
Nunos moves in looking to clinch but Faulkner pushes him off.

Sydney Faulkner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nunos is bucking up trying to escape but Faulkner cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Faulkner is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nunos to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nunos shrugs it off.

Nunos tries to lock up and control but Faulkner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Faulkner cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Nunos manages to reverse the position and now he's in Faulkner's guard. Nice work there by Nunos.
