Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andreis Nunos! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faulkner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Faulkner wants it to stay on the feet. Nunos moves in looking to clinch but Faulkner pushes him off. Faulkner leaves Nunos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sydney Faulkner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Faulkner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nunos's half guard. Faulkner shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nunos is trying to defend but Faulkner finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Nice strikes from Faulkner there. Faulkner stands up from half guard. Faulkner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nunos pushes Faulkner away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Faulkner gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Faulkner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nunos keeps working. Faulkner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Nunos is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nunos looks to move to half guard but instead Faulkner has passed into mount! Damn! Sydney Faulkner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nunos is bucking up trying to escape but Faulkner cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Faulkner looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Faulkner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. BOOM! Faulkner connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Faulkner controlling from the full mount. Faulkner is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nunos to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nunos shrugs it off. Nunos really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Faulkner controlling from mount. Nunos tries to lock up and control but Faulkner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nunos is trying desperately to improve position. Nunos tries to hold on but Faulkner pushes him away. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Faulkner cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Nunos tries to improve his position but instead Faulkner has taken his back! Faulkner looking for the choke but no joy. Nunos defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Faulkner's arms.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nunos manages to reverse the position and now he's in Faulkner's guard. Nice work there by Nunos.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nunos controls from within his opponent's guard. Faulkner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nunos manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Faulkner works over Nunos with some ground and pound from guard. Nunos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Faulkner is controlling him. Faulkner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Nunos is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nunos is breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nunos had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Faulkner defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sydney Faulkner dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Faulkner drives through with a takedown into Nunos's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Nunos has his foot on Faulkner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Faulkner works his way back into a safe position though. Nunos is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Faulkner in particular looking to stall. Nice strikes from Faulkner there. Well, if Faulkner is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Faulkner swats away the attempt to clinch by Nunos. Nunos has closed the distance and engaged Faulkner in a clinch.
Faulkner has picked Nunos up - he's going for a ride! Faulkner dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Faulkner looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

And that's the end of the fight! Sydney Faulkner showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Faulkner, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
