Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fredric Whitehead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco LastX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredric Whitehead has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fredric Whitehead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marco LastX!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LastX scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

LastX tries to sprawl but Whitehead drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Whitehead is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and LastX defends it well.

Whitehead has LastX pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. LastX manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

LastX wants to work for an arm triangle but Whitehead is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Whitehead is staying active underneath LastX, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

It looked like Whitehead was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Nice takedown defense from LastX. No joy for Whitehead on that attempt.
LastX looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

LastX fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Whitehead sprawls well initially but LastX persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Marco LastX seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

LastX drives through and clinches with Whitehead against the cage.
Whitehead is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables LastX to keep the fight standing.
LastX keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Whitehead's efforts to push away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
LastX is looking to sweep but instead, Whitehead has passed into half guard.
LastX is breathing heavily.

LastX makes his way to full guard. A much better position for LastX.
Whitehead postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Whitehead will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Whitehead won't allow LastX to sweep him here.

A close second round but Marco LastX will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Whitehead dives in for a single leg takedown but LastX sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Whitehead is looking to take this one to the mat.

LastX manages to pull guard.

LastX escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Whitehead gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Whitehead lands a couple of decent looking shots.

LastX throws his legs up looking for a submission but Whitehead uses it to pass to side control.
LastX tries to buck Whitehead off but Whitehead is having none of it.

LastX is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Whitehead is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Whitehead scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish LastX?
LastX tries to lock up and control but Whitehead gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Whitehead has control of LastX's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and LastX regains control of the situation pretty easily.
LastX is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Whitehead is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. LastX can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fredric Whitehead has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Marco LastX is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Whitehead throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for LastX because Whitehead loaded up on that one.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fredric Whitehead.
Well LastX has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
