Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dewayne Combs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dewayne Combs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charlie Barnes ! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnes throws a leg kick that is checked and Combs counters by clinching up. Combs looking for a takedown. Barnes successfully pulls guard.
Barnes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Combs is looking to stand up but Barnes won't let him. Combs won't allow Barnes to sweep him here. Combs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Barnes trying to control the position.
Barnes working a defensive guard but Combs passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnes is looking to improve his position.
Combs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Barnes looks like he's trying to stand up.
Combs is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barnes can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Combs connects with a nice short shot to Barnes 's temple. Combs is trying to work for a kimura but Barnes is defending well.
Barnes is trying to stand up here but Combs is controlling him well. Combs is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Barnes tries to roll over but Combs keeps him under control. Combs tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nice strikes from Combs there. Combs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Combs winds up and cracks Barnes with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Combs lands a nice short elbow. Combs is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Barnes is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dewayne Combs!
