The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Banister tries to score a power double leg takedown but Drotski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Banister somewhat.
Drotski half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drotski throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Banister was covering up waiting for the punch and Drotski finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Drotski drops back looking for a leg! Banister is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Banister manages to kick Drotski off! Drotski jumps back into Banister's guard.

Banister really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drotski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
