The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamora shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Medici counters with a nice low kick that buckles Zamora's knee momentarily.
No luck for Zamora with that takedown attempt.
Medici displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Zamora.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roman Zamora. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zamora fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Medici tries a quick counter leg kick but Zamora is wise to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Medici jerks Zamora's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Zamora drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Medici goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Medici because Zamora was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
