The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frontisma throws a right and a left that both miss.
Some wild striking there from Frontisma.
Padilla seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Padilla dodges the punch combination from Frontisma.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Frontisma!
Frontisma throws a one two combo.
Frontisma throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Padilla.
Padilla is looking for a counter combo.
Frontisma throws a right and a left that both miss.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Padilla drags the fight down to the ground.
Frontisma must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Frontisma is looking to work some ground and pound but Padilla has wrist control.
Padilla will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Padilla holds on and takes a little breather.

Padilla is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Frontisma presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Frontisma has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Padilla is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Padilla pulls guard effortlessly.
Frontisma loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Padilla uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Frontisma punishes Padilla's body with a nice straight punch.
Frontisma throws a nice looking combination but Padilla bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Padilla walks into a left hand.
Frontisma looks to throw the jab but Padilla is out of range.
It looked like Padilla was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Padilla is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Frontisma.

Padilla tries a head kick but it misses.
Despite the aggression on Frontisma's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Padilla closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Padilla jumps into guard, dragging Frontisma to the mat.

Padilla looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Frontisma is defending well. Padilla quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Frontisma has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast!
