Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mangrove chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Mangrove tries for a takedown but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Diaz appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Diaz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Mangrove moves out of range of the strikes.
Mangrove has his takedown stuffed
and Diaz counters with a shoot takedown. Mangrove fights it but they end up in guard.
Mangrove working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diaz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz is in close to Mangrove's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diaz is sitting in close to Mangrove's body. Mangrove has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Diaz is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Diaz is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Mangrove.
