Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavi Alvario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Wales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Xavi Alvario! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Wales! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wales moves into the clinch successfully.
Wales is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Alvario can't fight it off and eventually Wales manages to take the fight to the floor. Alvario looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wales lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wales preventing the sweep. Wales must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wales wants to pass the guard but Alvario is keeping the position. Alvario looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wales got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alvario has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wales has managed to get both his arms back between Alvario's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvario is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Alvario wants to sweep here but Wales controlling him for the moment. Wales tries to free his leg and advance position but Alvario is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alvario keeping moving, preventing Wales from controlling successfully. Wales is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Wales really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvario. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wales showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Wales postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Wales wants to control from the top but Alvario keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Wales tries to sprawl but Alvario drives through with a takedown into half guard. Alvario is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wales has managed to free his arm - good work. Alvario missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wales has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Alvario is working away from the top position though. Alvario thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Wales trying to control but Alvario postures up.
Wales is looking for a sweep. Alvario is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Alvario is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Wales is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wales holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Wales wants to control but Alvario is keeping busy.
Alvario seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wales does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Wales is trying to control but can't.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wales throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alvario half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wales blocks a jab. Wales lands a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kevin Wales will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Alvario closes the distance and clinches up with Wales, looking for a takedown. Alvario pushes Wales against the cage but Wales circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wales feints and as Alvario raises his hands in defense, Wales changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Alvario looking to control.
Wales is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Alvario keeping moving, preventing Wales from controlling successfully. Wales wants to take the fight to the mat but Alvario manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Wales just leaning against Alvario, taking a breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wales breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wales closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wales breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wales misses with a wild combination.
A counter left hand to the body from Alvario misses its target. Wales drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alvario gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvario is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Alvario keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Wales takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Alvario might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wales lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Wales wants to control the pace but Alvario is squirming around nicely. Alvario really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Kevin Wales showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Wales's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wales drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Alvario pulls Wales in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wales trying to control the position from guard on top but Alvario is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvario is controlling Wales's posture. Alvario trying to keep a closed guard but Wales is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wales engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Alvario keeping moving, preventing Wales from controlling successfully. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wales drives through with a takedown into Alvario's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Alvario tries to land a sweep but no joy. Alvario keeping full guard, as Wales tries to pass. Wales content to stall in guard here. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wales's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Wales has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvario keeping moving, preventing Wales from controlling successfully. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Wales with a flurry of punches that miss.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wales throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Alvario's head. No luck for Wales with that takedown attempt. Alvario appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Wales looks for a takedown but Alvario sprawls well. Alvario swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wales tries to clinch but Alvario moves out of range. It looked like Alvario wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Alvario shoots in looking for a takedown but Wales manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alvario's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wales closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wales lands in his opponent's guard. Wales wants to control from the top but Alvario keeps moving. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wales postures up in Alvario's guard and throws a big left but Alvario blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Wales comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wales has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
