Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andres Uray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Angelino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Andres Uray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Angelino!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uray ducks under a wild hook from Angelino.
Uray misses the jab.
Uray misses with a looping left.
Angelino misses with a series of wild punches.
Uray appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A looping hook to the body misses from Angelino. Uray does a little dance to reset his feet.
Angelino ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Uray moves away.
Uray throws a shot to the body.
A slow jab from Uray misses its intended target.
Angelino lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Angelino misses with a jab, cross combination.
Uray will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Angelino throws a lazy uppercut
and Uray counters with a lovely straight right hand!
No joy there for Uray, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Angelino looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Uray uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Angelino.
Andres Uray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uray moves away from the strike by Angelino.
Uray ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Angelino walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Uray works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Uray throws a right hand that Angelino ducks under and follows up with a left that Angelino also avoids with ease.

Uray slips a jab and a cross from Angelino.
Angelino lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Andres Uray has been cut.
Angelino connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Uray misses with a hook.
It seemed like Angelino was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Angelino throws a body punch but Uray moves out of range.
Uray cracks Angelino with an open hand slap.
Angelino feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Urays jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Angelino slips a jab and a cross from Uray.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Oooooh!!! Angelino has knocked Uray down with a huge combo! Angelino steps away and waves a wobbly Uray back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Uray is rocked!
Sloppy strikes from Uray. Those never looked like landing.
Oh Uray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Uray ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Uray seems to have got his legs back now.

Uray scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Angelino doesn't seem bothered though.

Uray bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Uray is looking to counter the offense by Angelino and move into the clinch.
Angelino just misses with a punch to the body.
Angelino lands with a right hand.
Uray scores with a punch to the head.
Angelino lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Angelino ducks under a wild hook from Uray.
Angelino dodges the punch combination from Uray.

Uray on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Angelino lands a big uppercut and Uray crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Uray looks OK. Angelino waves Uray back to his feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Uray swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A left lands for Angelino.


Andres Uray's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Angelino misses with a body shot.

Angelino fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Angelino bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Angelino thows a left - swing and a miss!
Angelino jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Uray was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Angelino misses the shot to the body.
Uray throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Despite the aggression on Angelino's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Uray keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Angelino.
Uray throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Angelino counters with a straight right hand.
Angelino misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Uray feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Angelinos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Uray throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Angelino throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Jeez, Andres Uray's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Angelino lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Andres Uray's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jose Angelino!
