Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abdul Tucker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Gray! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gray closes the distance and clinches. Gray looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Tucker slows down the pace here.

Gray wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Tucker lands a body punch. Tucker trying to land knees to the body.
Tucker tries to score a body lock takedown but Gray shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Gray letting Tucker take a breather here. Gray successfully pulls guard.
Tucker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tucker scoring with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gray working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tucker. Tucker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Tucker throwing strikes from guard but Gray blocks nicely. Gray avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tucker controls the pace of the fight for a moment. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tucker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tucker is in close to Gray's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tucker scoring with some ground and pound. Tucker content to stall in guard here. Tucker working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Tucker wants to control from the top but Gray keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gray can do anything to dispel that myth. Tucker is working Gray over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Tucker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gray utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tucker scoring with punches to the head and body. Tucker lands a couple of digs. Tucker postures up in Gray's guard and throws a big left but Gray blocks it. Tucker connects with a couple of short punches. Tucker is in close to Gray's body, working some short punches and elbows. Gray avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tucker landing with the ground and pound. Gray preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tucker throws a big elbow that misses. Tucker chips away with some ground and pound. Tucker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tucker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tucker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Tucker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Tucker scoring with punches to the head and body. Tucker throwing strikes from guard but Gray blocks nicely. Gray has momentary wrist control but Tucker slips an elbow through the middle. Gray keeping moving, preventing Tucker from controlling successfully. Tucker landing some decent shots from guard. Tucker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tucker landing with the ground and pound. Tucker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Abdul Tucker dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tucker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Gray swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tucker counters with a one-two to the body. Tucker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gray moves into the clinch successfully.
Gray is trying to trip Tucker. He has hold of a leg but Tucker is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Gray persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Tucker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gray can do to turn this around? There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tucker is on top in guard.
Tucker landing with the ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tucker's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Tucker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tucker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Gray is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tucker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Gray is rocked! Tucker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Gray is still in real trouble! Can Tucker finish him? Tucker connects with a couple of short punches. Tucker with a nice head shot there. Tucker distracts Gray with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Tucker landing some decent shots from guard. Tucker's corner is telling him to maintain position. Tucker lands a couple of digs. Tucker postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Gray covers up, he's hurt! Tucker keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Tucker and the ref steps in to end the fight! Tucker can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
