Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raymundo Mcguire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raymundo Mcguire! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Davis! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis takes the fight into the clinch. Mcguire looking to throw knees to the head but Davis is blocking nicely.
Davis manages to break the clinch.
Davis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Davis postures up.
Davis with a nice head shot there. Mcguire is trying to control the position but Davis postures up. Davis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Davis lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcguire wants to sweep here but Davis controlling him for the moment. Davis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mcguire's guard. Mcguire trying to control but Davis postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis tries to pass to full mount but Mcguire defends it. Davis stalling. Davis working Mcguire over with strikes. Davis takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Davis seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Mcguire might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mcguire is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis is figuring out what he wants to do next. Mcguire is staying active underneath Davis, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis working the head and body with strikes. Mcguire looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Davis works his way into full mount! Davis controlling from mount. Davis wants to finish this one by submission but Mcguire is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Davis. Mcguire is looking to improve his position but Davis isn't that keen on the idea. Davis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Davis is landing with some decent strikes but Mcguire is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcguire wants to control but Davis is having none of it. Davis looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like Davis might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Davis with the ground and pound from mount. Davis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mcguire tries to control the position but Davis now has his back.
Mcguire trying to control the action but Davis just sinks the hooks in.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis is looking for the choke from the back position but Mcguire is controlling his hands well. Davis loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Mcguire hold on?
Davis is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. You can see the frustration on Mcguire's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Mcguire is working hard here to advance position. Davis looking for the choke from the back. Davis looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Mcguire taps!
