Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Persson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker misses with a head kick.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Persson.
Persson shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense.
Persson closes the distance and clinches up with Walker, looking for a takedown. Persson pushes Walker against the cage but Walker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Walker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Persson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Walker moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Andre Persson has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Walker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Persson shoots in and drives through. Walker sprawls well.
Declan Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Persson.

Walker is looking to take a break and control but Persson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Persson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Persson wants to free his trapped foot but Walker is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Walker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Walker is looking to improve his position but Persson isn't that keen on the idea.
Walker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Persson on the ground.
Walker tries to buck Persson off but Persson takes his back!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Persson throws a leg kick but Walker sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Declan Walker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Persson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Walker misses with a wild combination.
Persson dodges the punch combination from Walker.

Walker clinches with his opponent.

Walker decides to pull guard.

Persson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Walker works over Persson's head and body with a nice combination.

Walker drives through and clinches with Persson against the cage.

Walker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Walker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

so Walker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Persson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Walker!

Well Walker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
