Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arslan Rashid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JP Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arslan Rashid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, JP Peterson! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson has a takedown stuffed. Rashid fails to land with a series of punches.
Rashid tries to clinch there but Peterson circles away.
Rashid tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rashid with a lazy takedown attempt and Peterson counters with a series of strikes. Rashid will be more careful next time no doubt. Peterson throws a series of punches but Rashid avoids them all with ease. As Peterson looks to move away, Rashid throws a big counter combo but Peterson just gets out of the way. Rashid goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Rashid tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Peterson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Peterson avoids the head kick by Rashid.
Peterson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rashid sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Rashid closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Peterson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Rashid is on him like a limpet, forcing Peterson back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Peterson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rashid's efforts to push away. Rashid trying to land knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson is trying to pull guard but Rashid turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Arslan Rashid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JP Peterson. Peterson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rashid regains guard.
Peterson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Peterson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Rashid fails to land the takedown. Peterson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rashid! Rashid is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Peterson is controlling him well. Rashid explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Peterson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Rashid breaks the clinch.
Peterson tries to clinch but Rashid is having none of it. Rashid looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rashid leaves Peterson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rashid throws a right hand that Peterson ducks under and follows up with a left that Peterson also avoids with ease. Rashid goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Peterson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Rashid is trying to improve his position. Peterson cracks Rashid with a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rashid struggling a bit here. Rashid manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Rashid is breathing heavily. Peterson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Rashid got a little sloppy there for a moment and Peterson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rashid has managed to get both his arms back between Peterson's legs - danger averted. Rashid trying to control but Peterson is working from the bottom. Rashid throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peterson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rashid scoring with punches to the head and body. Rashid wants to control from the top but Peterson keeps moving. Peterson seems keen to control Rashid's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rashid pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Peterson is keeping the position for now. Peterson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rashid is controlling him. Rashid landing some decent shots from guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peterson can do anything to dispel that myth. Peterson pulls Rashid in to control the position. Rashid would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Rashid trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are working up against the cage. Peterson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but JP Peterson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Rashid slaps away a takedown attempt from Peterson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Peterson lands a two punch combo.
Rashid is rocked! Peterson lands a huge takedown. Rashid is out but the ref is slow to react and Peterson lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Rashid lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
