Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yahir Kepplinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Sebastian Case has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sebastian Case!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Yahir Kepplinger!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Case is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kepplinger shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kepplinger trying to control from Case's half guard. Case has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Kepplinger trying to control the position from guard on top but Case is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Case looking for subs off his back but Kepplinger has passed one foot through into half guard.

Kepplinger wants to stand up but Case is controlling the position.
Kepplinger tries to pass to full mount but Case defends it.
Case really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Case is looking for a sweep. Kepplinger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Case trying to hold on to Kepplinger's head to control him but Kepplinger postures up.
Kepplinger wants to take a breather but Case is having none of it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kepplinger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Case is trying to maintain the position but Kepplinger is very close to passing his half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Case leaves Kepplinger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kepplinger closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kepplinger trying to advance position but Case counters by regaining guard.
Kepplinger trying to control but Case is working from the bottom.
Case can't keep his opponent in guard - Kepplinger advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Case is trying to maintain the position but Kepplinger is very close to passing his half guard.
Kepplinger is looking to stall here but Case recovers full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Case holds on and takes a little breather.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Case keeping moving, preventing Kepplinger from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Case's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kepplinger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kepplinger drives through and clinches with Case against the cage.
Case is trying to pull guard but Kepplinger turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Kepplinger manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kepplinger trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kepplinger looking for a sweep. Not yet Kepplinger, not yet.
Kepplinger is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kepplinger is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Kepplinger is working for takedown but Case is calmly controlling the position for now.
Kepplinger has had enough of the clinch but Case keeps him there for the moment.

Case is looking for a takedown.

Kepplinger turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kepplinger manages to end up in side control.
Kepplinger is breathing heavily.
You can see the frustration on Case's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kepplinger tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kepplinger trying to control the position but Case is working away.
Case is trying to control Kepplinger's posture but Kepplinger avoids it.

Both fighters take a look at the clock.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kepplinger gets the takedown into side control.
Case struggling a bit here.
The ground and pound from Kepplinger seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Kepplinger decides to stand back up. Kepplinger steps back and let's Case get back to his feet.
Case on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kepplinger throws a head kick that misses
and Case counters with a three punch combo that has Kepplinger backing up. Kepplinger nods at Case to acknowledge the strikes.

Kepplinger moves into the clinch.
Case looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebastian Case. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kepplinger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kepplinger closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Case's guard.
Case is controlling Kepplinger's posture.
Kepplinger looking to sit in guard and control but Case gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Case trying to control the position from guard on top but Kepplinger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Case makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kepplinger has momentary wrist control but Case slips an elbow through the middle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Case postures up in Kepplinger's guard and throws a big left but Kepplinger blocks it.
Kepplinger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yahir Kepplinger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Case throws a head kick that Kepplinger semi-blocks.

Case gets tackled into the cage by Kepplinger. Kepplinger maintains the clinch.
Kepplinger has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kepplinger gets control of Case's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kepplinger will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Yahir Kepplinger has got the better of the ground game so far.
Case is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Case's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Case with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kepplinger will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Case preventing the sweep.
Kepplinger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kepplinger controls Case momentarily but Case frees himself.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kepplinger looks for the body kick but Case saw that one coming.
Case half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Yahir Kepplinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Case scores with a head kick.
Kepplinger misses with a right hand
and Case counters with a one-two to the body.

and Case counters by clinching up.

Case jumps guard.
Kepplinger throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Case works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Case looking to control.
Kepplinger is looking to advance position but Case has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Kepplinger is bucking up trying to escape but Case cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Kepplinger is wriggling around trying to escape.

Case is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kepplinger has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kepplinger is desperately trying to improve his position but Case has a good base and remains in mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Case working the ground and pound effectively.
Kepplinger wants to control but Case is having none of it.
BOOM! Case connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kepplinger wants to control but Case is having none of it.
Kepplinger is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Case dominating with strikes here.
Kepplinger is in all sorts of trouble here.
Case lands a couple of good shots and Kepplinger has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The referee is taking a good look at Kepplinger as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Case!
Case lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Kepplinger hold on?!
Case punishes Kepplinger with strikes from the back mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kepplinger grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Kepplinger is covering up but some of the strikes from Case are getting through and doing damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sebastian Case showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Kepplinger has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
