The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laston swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gardner.
It looks like Bryce Gardner has been cut.
Gardner buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Laston lands a nice hook to Gardner's body. Gardner takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gardner misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Laston.
Gardner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Laston.
Gardner dodges the punch combination from Laston.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gardner.
Laston appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gardner takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Gardner takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gardner is rocked!
Gardner misses with a body kick.
Oh Gardner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Laston is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Laston walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Gardner drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Laston swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Gardner's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Laston!
