Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoda Mayhem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mayhem closes the distance and clinches.
Mayhem tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mayhem wants to take the fight to the mat but Jones manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Jones is trying to force a seperation but Mayhem has the dominant position.

Jones tightens his grip and picks Mayhem up, before dumping him to the ground. Mayhem manages to land in guard.
Jones postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Mayhem tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mayhem throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Jones is stalling in the full guard.

Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jones stops Mayhem from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Both fighters circling a little - Mayhem finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mayhem tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mayhem to the ground. Mayhem escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Jones just misses with a punch to the body.

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Mayhem has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jones is on him like a limpet, forcing Mayhem back against the cage.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jones wants to land a leg kick but Mayhem is out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mayhem is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mayhem wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Mayhem shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jones looks for a takedown but Mayhem sprawls well.
Mayhem throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mayhem is breathing heavily.

Mayhem has managed to clinch.

Mayhem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mayhem fails with a takedown attempt.
Mayhem fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Mayhem manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Mayhem goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.

Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mayhem is looking to get back to is feet but Jones passes into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Jones looks up at the clock and then as Mayhem takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jones smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Mayhem get back to his feet.

Mayhem doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.

Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Mayhem is retaining full guard.
Mayhem pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.

Mayhem is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Mayhem gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mayhem will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mayhem's head.
Mayhem flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Jones looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
