Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaman throws a head kick but Ector moves out of range.
Shaman on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Blind Shaman has been cut.
Shaman walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Shaman lands with a straight right. Ector didn't see that one coming.
A shot to the body from Shaman misses
and Ector counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ector wants to clinch.
Ector throws the left hand but Shaman avoids the punch easily.
Ector rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Shaman counters with a left to the body.
Shaman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shaman throws a jab but it's blocked by Ector.

We've been told by Ector's head coaches at Gym of the Gods that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Ector sneaks out the side door and pushes Shaman away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Shaman throws a big shot that misses.

Ector lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That has opened up Blind Shaman's cut even more.

Ector steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Shaman. That one must have hurt.
Shaman staying out of range there.
Ector cracks Shaman with an open hand slap.
Ector uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shaman.
Shaman throws a body punch but Ector moves out of range.
Ector clinches with his opponent.
Shaman lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ector backwards.
Shaman ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Shaman no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Shaman looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ector passes into half guard.
Shaman is trying to control but Ector passes into side control!
Ector is looking to take a break and control but Shaman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ector decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Ector misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ector lands with a hook. Shaman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Shaman.

Ector keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shaman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kay Ector is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kay Ector will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ector looks to throw the jab but Shaman is out of range.
Shaman throws a big shot that misses.
Ector went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Shaman takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Shaman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ector is looking for a counter combo.
Ector is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Shaman slips a jab from Ector.
Shaman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Blind Shaman seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Shaman throws a head kick that misses.
Shaman lands a nice looking body shot.
Ector throws a jab but it's blocked by Shaman.
Shaman tests Ector's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ector misses with a right hand
and Shaman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaman misses with a body shot.
Shaman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ector works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Shaman throws a wild hook but Ector just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Shaman gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Ector raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kay Ector!
