Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julius Richmond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabriel De Angelico!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Angelico swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
De Angelico looks to land a combination. Richmond sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Julius Richmond has been cut.
De Angelico wants to clinch up but Richmond keeps it at a distance.
Richmond shoots in for a double leg but De Angelico sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
De Angelico looks to land a combination but Richmond avoids it well.

Richmond shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in De Angelico's guard.
Richmond lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

De Angelico is working an open guard so Richmond takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
De Angelico lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by De Angelico.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Angelico throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Richmond counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
De Angelico stuffs the takedown.
Richmond misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julius Richmond. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
De Angelico misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Richmond uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by De Angelico.
Richmond takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
De Angelico tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Richmond closes this distance looking for a takedown but De Angelico circles away.
De Angelico rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Richmond moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Richmond changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. De Angelico tries to avoid it but Richmond manages to keep hold of a leg and drag De Angelico to the ground. De Angelico escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Richmond fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
De Angelico lands with a nice combination. Richmond backs away looking to recover.


Richmond is rocked!
De Angelico lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Richmond out cold! Richmond is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gabriel De Angelico!
