Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jewel Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvin Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvin Garcia has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jewel Cote!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alvin Garcia!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cote tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Garcia throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cote tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Garcia is in Cote's guard.

Cote is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Garcia knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Garcia for a finish.
Cote has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Garcia feints and as Cote raises his hands in defense, Garcia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cote is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Garcia has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Garcia is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Garcia is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Cote tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cote will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cote is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Garcia to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Garcia shrugs it off.
Cote thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Garcia is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Cote swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Garcia is now in Cote's guard. A big mistake from Cote there, giving up the dominant position!

Garcia closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cote did well to prevent Garcia getting side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jewel Cote will probably get the nod.

Garcia avoids the attempt from Cote to control.

Cote tries to lock up and control but Garcia gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Garcia tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Cote wants to hold on but Garcia pushes him away.
Garcia controlling the pace for now.

I think Garcia has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
