The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallagher tries to clinch there but Kingsten circles away.
Gallagher throws a sloppy head kick

and Kingsten decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gallagher's guard.
Kingsten controlling from the top position.
Kingsten has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kingsten stops Gallagher from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gallagher is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kingsten slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Shawn Kingsten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gallagher uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kingsten.
Kingsten sets himself, and Gallagher steps forward looking for the clinch! Kingsten avoids it this time.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kingsten shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gallagher's guard.

Gallagher wants to clinch up but Kingsten keeps it at a distance.

The referee asks Kingsten politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kingsten prefers to stall for the moment though.

Kingsten throws out a loose jab but Gallagher uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kingsten will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kingsten is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gallagher can do to turn this around?
Kingsten throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dean Gallagher is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kingsten misses with a series of wild punches.
Kingsten lands an overhand right.
Kingsten fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gallagher manages to avoid it.
Kingsten throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gallagher.
Kingsten stuffs the takedown attempt from Gallagher. Gallagher gets slowly back to his feet.
Kingsten tries to counter with a takedown but Gallagher is quick to defend against it.
