Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Arntz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chip Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Arntz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chip Ryan! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arntz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ryan was well out of range. Poor timing from Arntz. Ryan tries to clinch but Arntz is having none of it. Arntz appears to be looking for a big counter. Ryan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ryan shoots in for a takedown but Arntz shows good takedown defense. Arntz looks to score with a jab to the body but Ryan is just out of range. Ryan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Arntz throws a one two combo.
Ryan fails with a takedown attempt. Ryan has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Ryan fails with the takedown. Tim Arntz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chip Ryan. Ryan takes one to the chin there. Ryan closes the distance and clinches. Ryan breaks the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Arntz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ryan fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Arntz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ryan sprawls well. Ryan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Arntz gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan throws a right and a left that both miss. Arntz just misses with a punch to the body.
Arntz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ryan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Arntz fails to land with a series of punches.
Ryan walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ryan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ryan dives in and scores a takedown into Arntz's guard. Ryan cracks Arntz with a solid left hand. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ryan prevents Arntz from getting back to his feet. Arntz working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ryan. Arntz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ryan lands a couple of elbows. Ryan stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arntz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ryan back to the ropes. Arntz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Arntz loads up on a big right hand but Ryan slips the punch. Ryan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Arntz misses with a straight right. Arntz lands the left hand. Arntz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ryan avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ryan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Ryan slips a jab from Arntz. Ryan throws a right and a left that both miss. Ryan takes one on the button. Arntz with a nice cross. Ryan gets a clinch. Ryan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Arntz uses from the top position. Arntz wants to stand but Ryan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arntz stands up and waves to Ryan to follow him. A jab lands there for Arntz. Arntz throws a right and a left that both miss. Ryan closes the distance and clinches. Ryan is looking to control Arntz's arms but Arntz gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ryan has his back to the ropes. Arntz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ryan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ryan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Ryan is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Arntz gets underhooks to prevent Ryan's takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryan makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Ryan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Arntz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ryan. Arntz misses with a wild body shot. Ryan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Ryan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Arntz finds it's way round the side to connect with Ryan's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ryan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Arntz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ryan somewhat. Ryan looks winded! Arntz lands a really nice looking cross but Ryan seems unphased.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ryan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Arntz lands the left hand. Ryan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Arntz dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tim Arntz is winning the standup battle so far. Ryan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice jab there from Arntz. Ryan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Arntz avoids it really well and circles away. Ryan moves into the clinch successfully.
Ryan is looking to control Arntz's arms but Arntz gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ryan has his back to the ropes. Ryan breaks from the clinch.
Nice uppercut there from Arntz. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arntz lands a jab-cross combination. Arntz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Arntz lands in his opponent's guard. Arntz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ryan can do to turn this around? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Arntz preventing the sweep. Ryan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Arntz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ryan is tightening it up a little... Arntz has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Arntz reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Arntz taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ryan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Chip Ryan! After winning the bout, Chip Ryan thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
