Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Allen LeFleur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Vesala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vesala has chosen Bomfunk MC's - Freestyler as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Allen LeFleur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Timo Vesala!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LeFleur throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vesala tries for a takedown but LeFleur circles away easily
and LeFleur cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vesala fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but LeFleur avoids it really well and circles away.
We've been informed that Vesala has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vesala.
Allen LeFleur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timo Vesala.

Vesala feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Vesala drops back, looking for a kneebar! LeFleur looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. LeFleur looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from LeFleur!

Vesala tries to bench press LeFleur off him but LeFleur keeps the position.

LeFleur decides to stand back up.
A head kick misses from LeFleur.
Vesala shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has LeFleur pinned against the ropes. LeFleur gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Allen LeFleur is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vesala gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and LeFleur counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Vesala is lucky that one didn't land flush.
LeFleur lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
LeFleur thumps Vesala with a low kick.
LeFleur clobbers Vesala with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
LeFleur stuffs the takedown.

LeFleur gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

LeFleur uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vesala shoots in and gets a takedown into LeFleur's guard.

LeFleur is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vesala is controlling him.
Vesala pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. LeFleur is keeping the position for now.

LeFleur can't keep his opponent in guard - Vesala advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Vesala is looking for a kimura but LeFleur is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vesala to get the leverage.

Vesala looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Vesala seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but LeFleur does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Vesala is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Vesala is looking for a kimura but LeFleur is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vesala to get the leverage.
LeFleur is looking to escape.

Vesala seems to be looking for submissions.
LeFleur pushes Vesala off looking to stand but Vesala dives back in and keeps control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vesala trying to control from half guard but LeFleur is working away.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
LeFleur cracks the inside of Vesala's front leg.
LeFleur slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
LeFleur stuffs the takedown.
Vesala closes the distance and clinches up with LeFleur, looking for a takedown. Vesala pushes LeFleur against the ropes but LeFleur circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vesala misses with a takedown attempt - LeFleur sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vesala steps to the side to avoid the strikes from LeFleur.
Vesala shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Vesala fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but LeFleur avoids it really well and circles away.
LeFleur's corner calls for a 1-2. LeFleur obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


LeFleur defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vesala.
A quick step to the side and LeFleur tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vesala keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from LeFleur.
Timo Vesala is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
LeFleur stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and LeFleur wants it to stay on the feet.

It looks like Timo Vesala has been cut.
LeFleur misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vesala closes the distance and clinches up with LeFleur, looking for a takedown. Vesala pushes LeFleur against the ropes but LeFleur circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It looked like LeFleur was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Vesala.
Horrible takedown attempt by Vesala or perhaps it was just good defense by LeFleur, which made it look bad.

Vesala closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming LeFleur to the mat! LeFleur manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Vesala is still trying to improve position.

LeFleur stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Vesala shoots in and drives through. LeFleur sprawls well.
Vesala looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? LeFleur is fending him off so far but Vesala persists. Nope, LeFleur circles away and we're back to standing.
LeFleur is looking to counter punch.

Vesala decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Vesala is looking for a kimura here.
Vesala is breathing heavily.

Vesala is working for a kimura but LeFleur is defending it quite comfortably.

Vesala is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from LeFleur as he works his way to full guard.
LeFleur can't keep his opponent in guard - Vesala advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

LeFleur is trying to stand.

Vesala wants to work for an arm triangle but LeFleur is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Vesala seems to be looking for submissions.

LeFleur will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

LeFleur gets to his feet. Vesala looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
LeFleur is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vesala can do to turn this around?
Vesala moves out of range of the strikes.
LeFleur keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vesala shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with LeFleur but LeFleur pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vesala drops his hands momentarily and LeFleur takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
LeFleur comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


LeFleur throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vesala drops down looking to force a counter takedown but LeFleur defends it well.

LeFleur fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vesala looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A telegraphed right hand from LeFleur misses the target.
Vesala shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says LeFleur as he avoids it easily.

and LeFleur counters with a series of strikes. Vesala will be more careful next time no doubt.

LeFleur swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
LeFleur throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Vesala throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around LeFleur's waist but LeFleur gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vesala off to one side.
The fighters circling - LeFleur throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Vesala takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
LeFleur lands a really nice looking cross but Vesala seems unphased.


Vesala is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
LeFleur drops Vesala with a huge uppercut! Vesala drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. LeFleur is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Allen LeFleur!
After the fight, Allen LeFleur was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
