The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amateur with a poor takedown
and Volkov counters with a nice uppercut.
Amateur moves out of range of the body kick from Volkov.

Amateur closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Volkov's guard.

Amateur keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Volkov's head.

Amateur gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Amateur is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amateur shoots for a takedown but Volkov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Volkov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Amateur circles away quickly and effectively.

Amateur manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Volkov keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Amateur drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Volkov gets the underhooks and prevents it.
