Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Beattie! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Writer takes a jab right on the kisser.
Beattie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Writer did well to prevent Beattie getting side control. Writer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beattie is pressing down on Writer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Writer is holding on for now. Beattie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Writer is breathing heavily. Beattie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Writer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! That's three minutes gone in the round. Beattie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Writer keeping full guard, as Beattie tries to pass. Beattie keeps trying to improve his position. Beattie wants to control from the top but Writer keeps moving. Writer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Beattie's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Writer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Writer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Beattie throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Writer escapes and throws Beattie's legs to the side, diving into side control! Beattie tries to bench press Writer off him but Writer keeps the position. Beattie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Writer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Beattie gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Beattie bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Writer is looking to cinch up a triangle. Beattie throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Writer's body to avoid the submission. Writer has instead reached around Beattie's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Writer arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
