Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Silvia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derick Jeterrrs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shawn Silvia could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derick Jeterrrs's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn Silvia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derick Jeterrrs!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeterrrs instigates a clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Silvia.
Jeterrrs jumps guard but Silvia turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Jeterrrs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jeterrrs darts in trying to clinch
and Silvia counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jeterrrs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silvia manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jeterrrs moves into the clinch.
Jeterrrs is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Silvia to keep the fight standing.
Jeterrrs tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silvia smiles and moves away.
Shawn Silvia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derick Jeterrrs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jeterrrs tries to clinch up
and Jeterrrs takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jeterrrs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silvia swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silvia swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Jeterrrs takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jeterrrs is rocked!
Jeterrrs throws a shot from downtown. Silvia moves away and avoids it.
It looked like Silvia was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Silvia swats away the attempt to clinch by Jeterrrs.
Silvia is looking for a counter combo.
Jeterrrs tries to clinch up.
Jeterrrs looks to clinch
and Silvia counters with a straight right hand.
Jeterrrs is still on wobbly legs! Can Silvia finish him?
Jeterrrs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silvia swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jeterrrs seems to have recovered his senses.
Jeterrrs closes the distance and clinches.
Jeterrrs tries to pull guard but Silvia holds him up against the cage and eventually Jeterrrs drops back down to his feet.
Silvia dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Jeterrrs misses with a hook from the clinch.

Silvia slowing the pace effectively.
Jeterrrs jumps guard but Silvia stands there with Jeterrrs around his waist. Jeterrrs gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jeterrrs tries to pull guard but Silvia won't allow it.
Silvia looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Jeterrrs tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silvia smiles and moves away.

and Silvia connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jeterrrs fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silvia fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Jeterrrs tries to close the distance and clinch but Silvia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silvia swats away the attempt to clinch by Jeterrrs.

and Silvia counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jeterrrs closes the distance looking to clinch
and Silvia counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Silvia circles away from the clinch attempt
and Silvia scores with a counter punch that sends Jeterrrs to the canvas! Silvia smells blood - he's punishing Jeterrrs with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Jeterrrs has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shawn Silvia!
A less than humble Shawn Silvia misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
