Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colton Parrish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cory Todd will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Colton Parrish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cory Todd! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Todd has managed to clinch.
Parrish tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Todd avoids it. Todd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Parrish walks away with a smile on his face. Todd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Parrish throws a big shot that misses. Todd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Parrish counters by moving into the clinch. Parrish missing with knees to the body.
Todd stalling in the clinch but Parrish improves position. Parrish breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Todd throws a left and a right that both miss
and Parrish holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Parrish breaks the clinch.
Cory Todd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Todd forces Parrish back against the cage and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Parrish keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Todd's efforts to push away. Todd looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Parrish working hard to break the clinch. Todd is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Parrish to keep the fight standing. Colton Parrish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cory Todd. Parrish escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Todd gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Parrish to score an easy takedown into full guard. Parrish has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Parrish has gone for a leg lock! Todd slips out almost immediately though and dives into Parrish's guard.
Parrish might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Todd wants to pass the guard but Parrish is keeping the position. Parrish really is a fat lump. Todd trying to control the position from guard on top but Parrish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Parrish trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Parrish working for a triangle but Todd defends it easily.

Parrish thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Todd won't allow Parrish to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Todd trying to control but Parrish is working from the bottom. Todd scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Todd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parrish swivels though and keeps the full guard. Todd trying to control the position from guard on top but Parrish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Parrish throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Parrish is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Parrish lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Todd wants to sweep but no luck. Parrish gets to his feet. Todd looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Parrish takes the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Todd changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Parrish fights it off and pushes away nicely.

A clash of legs there as Todd blocks the low kick. Parrish shoots in and gets a takedown into Todd's guard. Todd is looking to stand back up but Parrish counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Todd. Todd wants to get back to his feet. Parrish wants to stand up but Todd is controlling the position.
Parrish trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Parrish winds up and cracks Todd with a swinging punch to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parrish is trying to work for a kimura. That's one minute gone in the round. Parrish is looking for a kimura but Todd is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Parrish to get the leverage. Parrish is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Todd has managed to free his arm - good work. Colton Parrish overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Parrish perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Parrish is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Parrish is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Todd doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Parrish. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Parrish lands a nice short elbow. Parrish is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Parrish is trying to work for a kimura but Todd is defending well.
Parrish drops an elbow to the side of Todd's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parrish is figuring out what he wants to do next. Todd is defending against the submission attempts here by Parrish.
Todd on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Parrish content to control rather than advance. Todd is trying to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Todd tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Todd lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Parrish circles away quickly and effectively. Parrish shoots in and bounces Todd off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Parrish with a nice head shot there. Todd bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Parrish's guard. Parrish wants to sweep here but Todd controlling him for the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Parrish wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Parrish looking to hit a scissor sweep but Todd is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Colton Parrish dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Parrish shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Todd napping and manages to drive through into side control! Todd tries to bench press Parrish off him but Parrish keeps the position. Parrish in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Parrish stands up and we're back to a striking position. Parrish changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Todd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Parrish looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Parrish is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Todd is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parrish slows the pace down. Parrish is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Todd can do to turn this around? Todd is looking for a sweep. Parrish stands up and we're back to a striking position. The fight moves into the clinch position. Todd drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Parrish drives through with a takedown into guard. Parrish lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Parrish's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Parrish's corner is telling him to maintain position. Parrish lands a couple of elbows. Parrish is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Parrish cracks Todd with a solid left hand. Parrish wanted to stand there but Todd had control of the position.

Parrish working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Todd's head. Parrish stands and steps away. Todd gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Todd gets a clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Todd is trying to break free. Todd is looking to control Parrish's arms but Parrish gets an underhook and turns him. Now Todd has his back to the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Colton Parrish showed his dominance in that final round. Well Parrish has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
