The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shewmaker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Shewmaker throws a looping overhand right but Mumba ducks down to avoid it.
Mumba moves out of range as Shewmaker throws a body kick.
Shewmaker misses with a few strikes there.
Mumba throws a shot from downtown. Shewmaker moves away and avoids it.
Shewmaker wants to clinch up but Mumba keeps it at a distance.
Mumba is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Shewmaker.
Mumba blocks a head kick by Shewmaker.
Shewmaker just misses with a punch to the body.
Shewmaker ducks right into an uppercut from Mumba.
Shewmaker tries to clinch there but Mumba circles away.
Mumba gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Shewmaker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mumba takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Mumba seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shewmaker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mumba connects with a nice short shot to Shewmaker's temple.
Mumba has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Mumba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shewmaker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Shewmaker has hold of Mumba's hands but Mumba slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
