Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marake Burate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ulf Ek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ek decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ek lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Burate's coaches at Flower Power Pillow Fighters Training Center have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Ek has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Ek throws a lazy right hand but Burate sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ek comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Burate drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Ek tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Burate displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ek throws out the jab.

Nice straight punches there by Burate. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Burate.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burate is not content to let Ek control the position.
Ek might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Burate haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Ulf Ek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
