The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crabber tries to clinch up.
A decent looking cross lands there for Svoboda.

It looks like Pat Crabber has been cut.

Svoboda swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Crabber.
Svoboda throws a lazy right hand but Crabber sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Crabber tries to close the distance and clinch but Svoboda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Crabber takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Crabber fails in his attempt to clinch.

Crabber drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Crabber wanted to stand there but Svoboda had control of the position.

Crabber avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Crabber must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Crabber would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Crabber stands up from Svoboda's guard - Crabber perhaps looking for a knockout.
Crabber tries to clinch but Svoboda is having none of it.
Svoboda misses with a hook. Crabber ducked under it nicely.
Crabber displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Svoboda throws out the jab.
Crabber misses with a takedown attempt - Svoboda sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Svoboda waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Crabber. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Crabber to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

That has opened up Pat Crabber's cut even more.
Svoboda makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Svoboda not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Svoboda is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Crabber doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Svoboda.

Svoboda is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Crabber defends it well.

Pat Crabber's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
