Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ezra Mcfadden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fernando Gracias! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracias closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Gracias wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcfadden keeps working. Mcfadden trying to control here.
Gracias is trying to control. Mcfadden wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mcfadden is trying to maintain the position but Gracias is very close to passing his half guard. Mcfadden is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Still in half guard, Gracias seems content to control. Gracias stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracias tries to keep at a distance but Mcfadden has taken the fight into the clinch. Mcfadden really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gracias lands a takedown into guard.
Mcfadden wants to control position but Gracias is using a can opener to pass guard... He's turned it into a full on guillotine from mount now! Big trouble for Mcfadden here! He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
