Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buzz Baxster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ahsan Hamed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hamed is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ahmed's Theme. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ahsan Hamed!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Baxster.
Baxster fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Baxster throws a leg kick but Hamed sees it coming and moves out of range.
A clash of legs there as Baxster blocks the low kick.
Baxster misses with a head kick.
A big right from Hamed misses.

Baxster rushes Hamed and presses him up against the cage.
A short right from Baxster.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Baxster.
Hamed misses with a punch to the body.

Hamed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hamed misses with an uppercut. Baxster saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hamed misses with a body kick.
We've been informed that Hamed has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Baxster avoids the body shot from Hamed.
Baxster takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Buzz Baxster has been cut.
Baxster closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Baxster scoring well with a low kick there.

Baxster swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hamed appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Baxster throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A little jabbing left from Hamed on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hamed misses with a low kick.
Hamed slips under a jab from Baxster.
Baxster moves out of range as Hamed strikes.
Baxster finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Hamed. That snapped Baxster's head back.
Buzz Baxster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baxster throws a hook but Hamed avoids it easily.
Baxster throws a body kick that misses
letting Hamed counter with a right hand.
Hamed throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Baxster ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
As Hamed looks to move away, Baxster throws a big counter combo but Hamed just gets out of the way.
Hamed will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Baxster pushes Hamed up against the cage in a clinch.

Hamed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baxster is looking to slow Hamed down with leg kicks.
Hamed lands a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Baxster connects with a leg kick. Hamed looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Hamed lands a big head kick that sends Baxster tumbling to the mat! Hamed takes a step backwards and waves Baxster back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Baxster is rocked!
Hamed moves out of range as Baxster throws a body kick.
Oh Baxster is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Baxster throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hamed! But no joy.
Baxster swings for the body but Hamed moves out of range.
Baxster seems to have got his legs back now.
Baxster misses with a shot to the body
and Hamed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hamed cracks Baxster with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Baxster tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Hamed pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Baxster is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ahsan Hamed!
