Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boo Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee's entrance music is Mama Said Knock You Out. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boo Lee! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Francisco Escobar! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escobar tries to close the distance and clinch but Lee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lee stuffs the takedown attempt from Escobar. Escobar gets slowly back to his feet. Escobar moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off. Escobar closes the distance and clinches. Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lee misses with a two punch combination.
Escobar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lee. Escobar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lee was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A big right from Lee misses. Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lee misses with an uppercut. A big left from Lee misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloppy strikes from Lee. Those never looked like landing. Escobar is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Lee jabbing away but nothing is landing. Escobar clinches with his opponent.
Escobar drags the fight down to the ground.
Escobar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Escobar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee stands up from guard. Let's bang! Escobar doesn't manage to clinch there - Lee circles away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Escobar has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Lee looks to throw the jab but Escobar is out of range. Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Escobar takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Lee keeps the fight on the outside. Escobar slips under a jab. A jab from Lee misses. Lee scores with a shot to the body.
Lee cracks Escobar with an open hand slap. Escobar moves out of range as Lee strikes. Escobar doesn't manage to clinch there - Lee circles away.
Escobar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lee. Escobar takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lee lands a jab to the nose. Escobar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lee throws a big shot that misses. Nice uppercut there from Lee.
Escobar is rocked! Escobar looks up at the clock. Bad move! Lee lands a right hand from hell, dropping Escobar. Lee pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boo Lee! Boo Lee retains his light heavyweight title! Boo Lee seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
