PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Biggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Major (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Biggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Major!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Biggs drives through and clinches with Major against the cage.

Biggs tightens his grip and picks Major up, before dumping him to the ground. Major manages to land in guard.

Major really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Biggs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Major lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Biggs is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Major to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Major shrugs it off.

That was a close round but I would say that Justin Biggs will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Major stalks Biggs and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Biggs's face. Biggs staggers backwards, shaken.
Biggs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Major throws a lazy right hand but Biggs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Biggs was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Biggs lands with a shot to the body.
Major fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Major stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Biggs.
Major tries to clinch but Biggs is having none of it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Major enables Biggs to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Major manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Major pushes Biggs off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Biggs jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Major walks away with a smile on his face. Biggs gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Some bone on bone action there as Biggs checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
