Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shap McGrubedale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shap McGrubedale! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Miller tries to pass to full mount but McGrubedale defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGrubedale tries to get to full guard but Miller has control of the leg. McGrubedale is not content to let Miller control the position. Miller is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Miller is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller looking to control but McGrubedale is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Miller is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but McGrubedale is surviving well by controlling Miller's body position as best he can. McGrubedale is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGrubedale sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Miller wants to control but McGrubedale is keeping him busy. Miller passes to side control. Miller wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McGrubedale, who protects the arm well. Miller is looking to take a break and control but McGrubedale is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McGrubedale is looking for a sweep. Miller goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McGrubedale rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Miller's guard! Nice work there by McGrubedale!
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGrubedale trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. McGrubedale must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Miller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Miller seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGrubedale does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. McGrubedale gets back to full guard.
Miller postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McGrubedale is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Miller, into his guard. Miller looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGrubedale is one step ahead there. Miller is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. McGrubedale trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. Miller looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller wants to control but McGrubedale passes easily into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller moves into full guard.
Miller is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. McGrubedale wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving. McGrubedale won't allow Miller to sweep him here. McGrubedale throwing strikes but missing. Miller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McGrubedale manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McGrubedale keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully. McGrubedale looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miller is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Miller dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Miller manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McGrubedale on his heels. He'll look to pass McGrubedale's guard now, I'm sure. McGrubedale has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Miller off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. McGrubedale moves into the clinch successfully.

Miller slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Miller looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. McGrubedale really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Miller tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. McGrubedale is trying to control Miller's posture but Miller avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGrubedale keeps working. Miller has hold of McGrubedale's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! McGrubedale tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Miller cranks the arm and McGrubedale screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from McGrubedale, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Frank Miller! Shap McGrubedale was interviewed post fight and said 'We will winning in future near'.
